Our debut album is making steady progress critically in the UK and Germany and we are getting some great feedback.
In the Uk, Q Magazine, Americana Online and Subba Cultcha and many others have had kind words to say.... See Reviews page for more info...
In Germany 'Last of the Charanguitas' has just received a mighty 4 STARS from Rolling Stone Magazine and to top it off editor Arne Willander placed us at number 7 in his playlist of the month, resting between Paul Weller and Rufus Wainwright.... Thanks Arne!
November
We launched our album at the Oxford Academy on Nov 3rd and the night was a grand success. Thanks to all of you who came down to support and to the mighty Stornoway who helped make it such a great night....A short film of the day and of the gig will be up on the website very soon so look out for it. We also made a low key video of 'Leave your Light On' which can be seen on the video section of the website and on our myspace page.
We are pleased to say that Rough Trade Shops in London will be stocking Last of the Charanguistas. R.T epitomise the strength of independent music in the UK and if you want a copy of the album please head to one of the Rough Trade shops or go online on there website.

The album will be available on line via the bands web sites and also in downloads via i tunes. Keep an eye out for more info. The Epstein will be playing quite a few shows in the run up to christmas. Do come down and catch a live show and get an album off the band in person. We also have new t shirts and new badges!!
The album is also being released in Germany by Dandyland Records with distribution through Cargo. The official release date is 5th October and we hope to be touring in the near future. Jon and Olly made a brief visit back in July and played two shows both of which went down very well. Many thanks to Heiko at Dandyland for all your help and all the heavy equipment that you lend out!
That should be good for now on the news front.
